Finally we have had news about SRC 's plans for the near future, and their first two releases from this re-born company. If you were not aware Rafael Barrios Senior left the company about a year ago and after a couple of management shake-ups they are finally back on track (sorry pun intended!) We are pleased to give you details of their first two references, the Lola T600 and the Porsche 914. These were both seen at this year's Nuremburg Toy Fair and the Gaydon Slot Fest in mock up forms, but as you can see from the attached photo's they now exist as fully decorated models. In a slight change of policy all models will now be limited to just 1000 units for worldwide sale.

Not offered before as a RTR slot car is the pretty little Porsche 914. Designed primarily for the US market, the car used a modified VW Beetle floorplan with Porsche derived air cooled engines, and featured a targa top bodyshell. The car modelled SRC02001 is the car entered into the 1973 Tara Florio by Di Gregorio and Mannino and having driven a working prototype of this slot car it is a little cracker. Lovers of the wide arched 6 cylinder version the 914/6 will be pleased to know that SRC are to also model this version in both rally and race forms in the near future.

First up we have the beautiful 275GTB Maranello Concessionaires entry into the 1966 Le Mans. For those of you who didn't know Maranello was the official UK importer of Ferrari for many years and took an active role in motorsports entering many of the world's top sports car events. Note the car does not have the prancing horse on its sides, it was only the official Italian Factory team that was allowed to do that at the time. Featuring Slot.it components throughout this is a lovely handcrafted masterpiece from Racer's Silverline range.

The second release is the 312P Coupe as raced in the 1970 Daytona 24hrs by the N.A.R.T. team. I've got to say that Ferrari's stop gap coupe introduced in 1969 before the 512S, is one of the prettiest sports racing cars ever made. What the car lacked in overall results was in my opinion more than made up for in the looks department! These resin hand built models as always feature Slot.it internals and are sort after by Ferrari collectors the world over.

We would liked to be able to write this email before, to announce our second car, that almost a year of suffering we have done, but due to an external problem with some pieces we can not present until now. Problem has been resolved and improve our calendar.

Having said that, we are pleased to present the reference M-02, made in high quality polyurethane resin at strict 1/32 scale: the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Mille Miglia winner in 1938, handled by Clemente Biondetti and Aldo Stefani as copilot. Car in which we maintain our philosophy hundred percent handmade, without computer aids, and also enhance by making the chassis, being strictly mechanical parts the only made out of our workshop, becoming one of the few artisans who make all production in his workshop.

History
With the dissapointment of the V16 BRM Project Tony Vandervell acquired a series of Ferraris, this is the last of those and is known as the MkIV (although only 3rd actual chassis).
It started life as a long wheelbase 375 Indianapolis chassis. It was re-bodied in Britain and fitted with Goodyear brake discs. This car would become one of the most famous cars in Britain driven by the likes of Gonzalez, Taruffi, Farina, Hawthorn & Collins. With Farina at the wheel it became the first car to lap Silverstone at over 100mph.
Colour Scheme
Overall Ford Meadow Green, white numbers on black roundals either side of nose & tail. Thin Wall Special one either side of bonnet, Ferrari badge front centre of nose.

The 956 model was created by Porsche in 1982 to compete in the new Group C category. It was replaced in 1985 by the similar 962 model.

It was one of the most successful racing cars ever: it won four 24h Le Mans competitions consecutively, in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and the World Car Manufacturer title three times.
The car was powered by a 2.650 cc engine. Its monocoque aluminium chassis was new for Porsche, previously known for their space frame design. Through this change, the regulated minimum weight of 800 Kg was reached.
Car n.34 was sponsored by Australian tyre retailer Bob Jane T-Marts. It raced the 1984 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans driven by two Australian drivers, Larry Perkins and Peter Brock.

José Froilán González made a notable mark in a brief career as a Formula One driver. The Argentinian secured Ferrari's very first championship win at the Silverstone circuit in Northamptonshire, in 1951. González first raced for Ferrari then Maserati, then back to Ferrari. Thereafter he raced a Formula One car in Britain only once again, in the 1956 Grand Prix at Silverstone as a guest appearance in a Vanwall.

PENDLE SLOT RACING NEW OWNERS OF PRE-ADD BODIES AND PENELOPE PITLANE

2015 will see the re-introduction of the range of Pre-Add 1/32nd scale resin body kits first released during the early 1990s and mid 2000 by Mac Pinches. Under the new ownership of Pendle Slot Racing, the range of 25 bodies will receive a careful make-over whilst staying true to the original shapes created by Mac. The original masters will be carefully cleaned and detailed where necessary in order to bring them up to 2015 standards expected by today's modellers. The bodies will then be matched up to an appropriate Penelope Pitlane chassis and have mountings moulded in place.
It is intended that 5 or 6 bodies from the range will be re-issued during 2015. Starting with a body originally released back in early 2000 which Mac himself then re-mastered but never put back into production.

Penelope-Pitlane
Pendle Slot Racing have had a very close working relationship with Steve Ward at Penelope Pitlane, ever since Steve first contacted us to discuss his ideas to create a range of 1/32 scale body kits, chassis & detailing parts. 42 Body kits later and the range is now widely regarded as being the most complete scratch building range.
We were therefore delighted to be asked by Steve to take on the range as he felt the time was right to retire. We have retained Steve's services on a part time basis to help us continue his great work.
Initially we will re-issue some of the older kits that have been sold out for sometime now. These include the Healey SR, Connaught and one of my personal favourites the Birkin Bentley.
There are also plans at to introduce several new chassis including an Angle winder and a slimline chassis to accept a short shaft slimline motor and we are pleased to say that these plans are at an advanced stage. New bodies will also be added to the range at some point during 2015 to complement those that are to be re-issued.
At this stage Pendle Slot Racing would like to put on record our thanks to both Mac Pinches and Steve Ward for their help in making this happen and for having the faith in Pendle Slot Racing to continue their good work.

Ok no surprises with this car but I must say I think it looks a bit cool with the Macky Dee's Sponsorship on it!

What is new however is NSR's first offering of their take of the Ford GT40. Often referred to as the MKI to differentiate it from the MKII which NSR have been successfully selling for a few years now, the MKI has a completely different rear bodywork on it. Whether this is an alteration to the MKII tooling or not only time will tell but a glancing at these pictures I think they have caught these often difficult to model lines of this car just about right. NSR have gone back to their tradition of releasing newly introduced models in kit form first, so we will have to wait a little longer before the fully finished models to arrive. Remember that most NSR cars are bought by slot racers who often like to decorate and put their own cars together, and being in kit form has the benefit of a lower price over the assembled models.
